Taiwo Awoniyi who is a Super Eagles striker has stated emphatically that he is nurturing the dream of playing in the Premier League despite featuring for Liverpool in six years.
The former Liverpool player started his football career on the streets of Ilorin in Kwara state before moving to the Imperial Soccer Academy from where he was picked to play for Nigeria at the Under 17 World Cup in 2013.
And at the tournament, luck shined on Taiwo Awoniyi and his teammates as they won the Under 17 World Cup in Dubai.
This helped him to secure a move to Premier League side Liverpool, but the Anfield giants did not give him playing chance as they loaned him out immediately.
Where is Taiwo Awoniyi playing presently?
Taiwo Awoniyi is currently playing for German side Union Berlin after making permanent move to the side from Premier League giants Liverpool.
According to the report on GOAL and Kicker, Taiwo Awoniyi explained that his brother and sister are living in England and he wants to one day play in the Premier League.
Taiwo Awoniyi's reaction
"The Premier League is my dream. Everyone knows that, even here at the club.
"If I lived in England, it would be easier for my wife and child, if only because of the language. In addition, my sister and a brother live on the island."
