English giants Arsenal are reportedly desperate in signing a new striker as Nigerian youngster Victor Osimhen is said to be on their radar, Mirror reports.
The Gunners’ boss Mikel Arteta is hoping to improve his squad’s attack, but he will need to convince Italian side Napoli to sell the Super Eagles player.
It was gathered that Tottenham are also monitoring the player’s situation in Italy as Antonio Conte is also said to be interested.
Since losing former captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Spanish giants Barcelona in the January transfer window, Arsenal are in need of another striker.
Arteta only has Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah at his disposal as strikers and now they are in search of another forward.
Both players are out of contract at the end of the season and have rarely impressed in front of goal with just three Premier League goals between them – all scored by Lacazette.
Complete Sports reports that Arsenal will make signing a forward a priority in the summer which has led them to pursue Napoli’s Osimhen.

Meanwhile, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has appointed Alexander Lacazette as the club's new captain for the remainder of the 2021/22 campaign.
The Gunners have been without a substantive skipper since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was stripped of the role following "a disciplinary breach."
And with the Gabonese striker already past tense at the Emirates following his January switch to Barcelona, Arteta has resolved to fill the role with Lacazette.

However, the Frenchman has been handed the role on a permanent basis, with Arteta making the announcement during his press conference ahead of Arsenal's trip to Wolves.
