Steven Gerrard has been voted as the greatest Premier League midfielder ahead of Chelsea legend Frank Lampard and Manchester United’s Paul Scholes.
Gerrard who made 710 Premier League appearances for the Reds scoring 186 goals in the process but missed out on the ultimate prize of winning the league title.
According to a report via Sports Bible, the 41-year-old took 43.8 percent of the votes casted in a twitter poll defeating Scholes who finished second with 28.3 percent and Lampard who got 18 percent in third.
The result from the twitter poll seems shocking to most Premier League fans as to how Gerrard who never lifted the league trophy topped the likes of Scholes who won the league 11 times for Manchester United.
