Ralf Ragnick has finally revealed the main reason Cristiano Ronaldo was dropped from Manchester United’s starting line-up against Burnley on Tuesday February 8.
Manchester United started with Uruguayan, Edinson Cavani in attack leaving the 37-year-old Ronaldo amongst the substitutes in the Premier League tie.
In a report via Daily Post, Ralf Ragnick explained the decision to bench Ronaldo, saying he believes Cavani fits the gameplan better which requires lots of sprinting.
“Today it will require a lot of sprinting, chasing balls, a lot of fight for second balls. This best fits the profile for Edinson Cavani which is why he starts today."

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo seems to have lost spark lately for Manchester United as the striker is struggling to show signs of his early season form.
Ronaldo who has a total of 14 goals for Manchester United this season, has failed to score in his last five games for the Old Trafford club.
According to Goal, Ronaldo’s cold streak which is his worse goal drought since 2010, was highlighted by his penalty miss against Middlesbrough as Manchester United crashed out of the FA Cup.
