Yaya Toure who is an Ivory Coast football legend has stated emphatically that he supported Senegalese national team at the 2021 African Cup of Nations because of Sadio Mane.

The former Manchester City star explained that he was happy with the fact that Sadio Mane was able to finally land the African Cup of Nations after missing the 2019 edition in Egypt.

There is no doubt about the fact that Sadio Mane was impressive for Senegal at the just concluded 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon as he scored the decisive penalty against Egypt in the final.

After 120 minutes of tough game between Senegal and Egypt at the 2021 African Cup of Nations final, there was no goal scored before the match went into penalties and Sadio Mane and his teammates won 4-2.

According to the report on Pulse, Yaya Toure who won the African Cup of Nations in 2015 explained that Sadio Mane was fantastic at the 2021 AFCON.

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how there were thousands of football fans on the streets of Dakar on Monday evening, February 7, when the Senegalese national team players arrived after winning the 2021 AFCON title.

Sadio Mane and his teammates at the Senegalese national team fought well at the just concluded 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon where they defeated Egypt in the final.

The final encounter against the Egyptian national team was not an easy ride for Senegalese players as Mohamed Salah and his teammates also wanted to win the title.
