In a bid to defend his boss over his source of wealth, Abdulmumin Jibrin who is the director-general of the Tinubu Support Management Council, disclosed that the presidential hopeful has shares with Manchester United.
Jibrin, who was a guest on a program on TVC, further stated that Bola Tinubu also has sizable shares with tech giants Apple.
The Eagle reports that Jibrin joined the program ‘Journalists Hangout’ via zoom anchored by Babajide Kolade-Otitoju and shared the information.
He added that the All Progressives Chieftain had been funding pro-democracy groups with his personal funds since the 90s.
Jibrin said, as per Sports Ration:
“I was shocked to discover that Asiwaju has enormous shares in Apple Corporation and also lately while watching football with him, I also discovered that he is a big shareholder in Manchester United.
“Asiwaju has been funding pro-democracy groups since the 1990s, using his investment to support them. No one has disputed this fact. Why were they not asking him where he got his money then?”
Dangote interested in buying Arsenal
Nigerian billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote suggested that he might be making a move to buy Premier League outfit Arsenal.
The 64-year-old was initially linked with a move to buy out Lady Nina Bracewell-Smith's 15.9% shares in 2011 but he later abandoned the deal in a bid to focus on his refinery project in Lagos.
