Impressive Brazilian legend Roberto Carlos is billed to come out of retirement as he reportedly joins Shrewsbury & District Sunday League side Bull In The Barne United - and it might be the greatest deadline day signing of all time, SPORTbible reports.

Reports further say that Sunday League teams in the UK could now participate in eBay's ‘dream transfer raffle’, with a fee of just £5 needed to take part in the once-in-a-life opportunity.

Ed Speller, who is the club's player-manager, couldn't believe his luck after entering the competition on a whim. He said via Daily Star:

“One of my mates sent me a link to the raffle and I thought it would be a good laugh to enter, thinking nothing more of it, but when I had the email – it was just mad to be honest," he told Shropshire Star.
“Roberto Carlos is a legend and one of the top players to ever play the game, it was a proper ‘wow’ moment when we found out.
“Most people think I’m playing an elaborate trick on everyone, no-one could really believe it. I keep checking my phone thinking to myself someone might be having me on. It gets more surreal each day.
“We’re just an amateur pub team in Shropshire where everyone pays their own subs to pay, so it’s surreal to know he is coming to play with us.”

Kanu Nwankwo meets Roberto Carlos

Nwankwo Kanu who is a Super Eagles and Arsenal legend has expressed happiness after meeting former Real Madrid super left back Roberto Carlos as the two men snapped for photos.

The former Super Eagles striker posted the photo of himself and Roberto Carlos on his social media page.

During his active playing time, Roberto Carlos was one of the best left backs in the world considering how he used to score good goals despite being a defender.

Roberto Carlos started his career in Brazil as a forward but spent most of his career as a left-back and has been described as the most offensive-minded left-back in the history of the game.
