Egypt goalkeeper Mohamed Abou Gabal seems to have forgotten that his water bottle contained penalty information of all Senegal players as he left it on the pitch, Cover Ghana reports.
Gabaski who had a great tournament in Cameroon was handed the Man of the Match award for the final AFCON match involving Egypt and Senegal.
He had a fine performance against the hosts in the semi-final putting up brilliant saves during the penalty shootout to defeat Indomitable Lions.
And in the final, Gabaski denied Sadio Mane from the penalty spot, with many wondering how he has managed to pull off such a sensational performance.
How Gabaski was caught
Cameras captured the moment the goalkeeper picked up bottled water as he ‘consulted’ it a number of times during the shootout against Senegal.
The 33-year-old Zamalek of Egypt shot-stopper forgot his bottle after the defeat. It had details of where each Senegal penalty.
Some people believe that this should go straight to CAF museum if they have. The clip was spotted on Sports Ration with the caption:
“Egypt goalkeeper Gabaski had details of where each Senegal penalty taker placed most of their previous kicks on his water bottle. He had it against Cameroon as well - Is this allowed - is he a cheat?”

Meanwhile, the Pharaohs have sent Senegal a fiery warning after the Lions of Teranga stunned the Pharaohs to lift the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations title in Cameroon.
