Ghana Premier League legend, Charles Taylor, has urged Ghanaian players born abroad to reject any attempt to invite them to play for the Black Stars.
The Ghana Football Association [GFA] and other key stakeholders are pushing endlessly to get some talented Ghanaian players in the diaspora to switch nationality to play for Ghana at the international level.
But ex-Ghana international, Taylor, has issued a warning to these players to decline any call from Ghana football officials who would try to convince them to represent Ghana on the international stage.
“Let’s ask ourselves why these players don’t want to come and play for the Black Stars," the Asante Kotoko ace said as quoted by Africa-foot.com.

“I have said that players abroad should not hesitate to switch allegiance away from Ghana. “Ghana is a matter of a year [then you are off the scene],” Taylor added.
The Ghana FA has reportedly held talks with Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi, Eddie Nketia of Arsenal and Brighton's Tarig Lamptey to swicth allegiance and play for Ghana.
Earlier, Charles Asampong Taylor blamed Ghana's goalkeeper's trainer, Richard Kingston, for the Black Stars' poor showing at the Africa Cup of Nations.
According to the former Hearts and Kotoko player, Jojo Wollacot as Black Stars number one goalkeeper was a wrong choice, and Kingston needs to take responsibility for the Swindon shot-stopper's poor display.
Charles Taylor, who works as a pundit on Angel TV, was very critical of the goalkeeping department of the Black Stars.
