Arsenal have decided not to offer striker Alexandre Lacazette a new contract with the Frenchman’s current deal set to expire at the end of the season.
The 30-year old striker who has struggled for consistency in is set to join the likes of high profile players such as Aubameyang and Mesut Ozil to leave the Emirates in recent months.
According to a report via the Mirror, Lacazette recently rejected the offer of a new deal at the Emirates - a one-year extension - in favour of searching for a long-term deal elsewhere
The striker is believed to want a long term contract at the Emirates but it appears Arsenal are not willing to offer him anything higher than a one-year contract.
Lyon show interest in signing Lacazette
Meanwhile, French club Lyon have indicated an interest in bringing Alexandre Lacazette back to the Groupama Stadium.
According to a report via 90 MIN, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has admitted that the club will try to re-sign Arsenal's 30-year-old striker on a free transfer in the summer.
Lacazette began his football career with Lyon and scored a total of 129 goals in 275 appearances for the French Club before making a move to the Emirates in 2017.
The forward is still undecided about his future but it appears a switch back to France will tempt the striker.
