Sergio Aguero has hinted at a possible return to football barely three months after announcing his retirement.

The Manchester City legend was forced to call it quits on a lucrative career aged only 33 after he was diagnosed with a heart arrhythmia, months after signing for Barcelona.

There were signs that all was not well for Aguero when he went down clutching his chest during Barcelona’s La Liga clash against Alaves on October 30.

After cardiological tests, Aguero was initially advised to take a break from football, but it was later deemed inadvisable for the striker to continue playing the game because of his condition.

This was followed by an emotional press conference at the Nou Camp where Aguero announced he would be hanging up his boots for health reasons.

“I want to train again”

Months on, however, and the striker refused to rule out a potential return to the pitch, saying he wanted to embark on training again.

“Yesterday, it crossed my mind that I could play again. Inter Miami called me but I refused. In two years? Let's see,” Aguero told TYC Sports as quoted by Daily Mail.
“The doctors told me that I have to spend five or six months without activity, but I already want to train again!”

Among the clubs that were interested in Aguero was Major League Soccer side Inter Miami, which is owned by David Beckham and managed by Phil Neville.

Beckham is also keen on bringing Lionel Messi to the club before the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner calls time on his career.

As far as Aguero is concerned, however, the Argentine remains a retired player and is currently in his native country.

Aguero claims TV channels in England support Manchester United

More recently, Aguero made headlines for some sensational claims about media in England.

As Sports Brief reported, Aguero sensationally declared that majority of people in the UK, including journalists, are Manchester United supporters.

He went on a bizarre rant recently while he was watching his famous goal that helped Manchester City secure their first Premier League title in the 3-2 win over QPR in 2012.

'In England, everybody, all the journalists, all the TV channels, everybody, they're all Manchester United supporters. Everybody!'
