Spier was handed the role to succeed Ugandan Paul Nkata who had been named the club's head coach in an interim capacity.

K'Ogalo entered the market in search of a new tactician after they dismissed Mark Harrison and his assistant Sammy Omollo following a string of poor performances.

The highlight of Harrison's troubled tenure with the Green Army was when his charges suffered a 3-0 humiliating loss in the hands of Posta Rangers.

The KPL giants have now brought in Spier, with the hope the German will turn around their campaign.

Spier was confirmed new boss on Tuesday, February 1, with Michael Nam joining him as his assistant.

"As a club, we have settled on German Andreas Speir as our new head coach. He will be assisted by Michael Nam in the new technical bench," Gor announced in a statement.
"The two will be tasked with reviving the club’s title challenge after the dismissal performance of the previous technical bench led by Mark Harrison and Sammy Omollo," the statement added.

Spier will be hoping to turn around Gor's campaign as the club eyes the domestic title.

The Toffees formally announced the Englishman on Monday, January 31, with the legendary midfielder beating Vitor Pereira and Duncan Ferguson to the job.

"Everton Football Club can confirm the appointment of Frank Lampard as the Club’s new manager," the Merseysiders said in a statement.
