Tunisia have decided to part ways with head coach Mondher Kebaier after the Carthage Eagles were surprisingly knocked out of the AFCON by Burkina Faso.
Dango Aboubacar Ouattara’s goal on the stroke of half-time was all the West Africans needed to book a spot in the semi-finals at the expense of Tunisia.
According to a report via Goal, the Tunisian FA revealed that coach Mondher Kebaier’s assistant, Jalal Al-Qadri will take temporary charge of the Carthage Eagles until a permanent manager is named.
“It was decided to end the contractual relationship with Mondher Kebaier and to appoint Jalal Al-Qadri as his successor.
“We thank Mondher Kebaier for the efforts he made during the period he spent at the helm of the national team, wishing him success in the rest of his coaching career. We also wish Jalal Al-Qadri success in his new duties.”
Mondher Kebaier took charge of the Tunisia national team in 2019 and helped them reach the Arab Cup final in Doha in December 2021.
