Controversial Senegalese referee Maguette Ndiaye was involved in another stormy encounter at the 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Ndiaye had to manage a north African grudge match between Egypt and Morocco in the third quarterfinal of the weekend, which the Pharaohs win 2-1 in dramatic version.

As reported on BBC Sport, Sofiane Boufal opened the scoring for Morocco with a sixth minute penalty, before Mohamed Salah's equaliser in the 53rd minute and Mahmoud Trezeguet's extra time strike in the 100th minute settled matters.

They overworked Ndiaye allegedly pushed a player among many other things that happened during the thriller according to Give Me Sport, and naturally, got thumbs clicking on social media.

Egypt's hunt for a record-extending eight African Cup of Nations title continued in Cameroon.

As reported on Sports Brief, The Pharaohs sealed qualification to the last four after they stunned Morocco 2-1 in the quarter-finals on in Yaounde.

Neither side was able to score the winner for the remainder of the half, forcing the tie into extra-time.
