Former Manchester City Star Carlos Tevez Compares Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Diego Maradona

A former Manchester City forward Carlos Tevez has branded Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as ‘out of the ordinary' while comparing the greatest footballers of all-time, 90min reports.

He refused to pick between the duo and legendary Diego Maradona who passed away on November 25, 2020 back home in Argentina.

Tevez was teammates with Ronaldo at Manchester United between 2007 and 2009 as he was also international teammates with Messi for his country between 2005 and 2015.

Tevez told ESPN via Football:

“They are two greats. I felt comfortable with them both. I enjoyed both and learned from them. They are both out of the ordinary.

“With Cristiano, I lived the day to day and with Leo, it was with the national team. They are from another planet. They are still part of football’s elite and that is very difficult. It’s something to admire. You have to tip your hats off to those kinds of players.”

Ronaldo and Messi split a staggering 13 Ballon d’Or between themselves with many comparing them with Maradona.

Comparing Messi with the late legend as regards whom the greatest is, Tevez added:

“Both. They are both Argentine. At times, we fight about it more than the people from outside of the country. The argument has always been made by us. We have to enjoy it.”

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund hotshot Erling Haaland has shunned Cristiano Ronaldo and named Lionel Messi among the three best players in the world of 2021.
