Ghanaians troll Nigeria after AFCON elimination following Tunisia defeat

Ghanaians are celebrating the elimination of Nigeria from the Africa Cup of Nations after their last 16 defeat to Tunisia at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Super Eagles were gunned down 1-0 by the Carthage Eagles at the round of 16, ending their flamboyant campaign at the tournament.

Fans of the Black Stars took to Twitter to troll their Nigerian bothers, as they whet appetite for the crucial World Cup qualifier in March this year.

Although Nigeria had a hundred percent record from the group stages, they fell shot in the last 16 with Everton winger Alex Iwobi seeing a red card in the game.

Yousef Msakni netted the winner for the North Africans in the second half of the game.

"I swear Naira Nigeria nor Ghana could Cedis coming," wrote Saddick Adams.
"Fellow Ghanaians, let’s laugh at Nigeria," added Mpesempese President.
"Nigeria copy Ghana in everything. From independence, jollof to music and now red card. Ghana is clear," wrote Nungua Burna.
"Super Eagles Don Lose O!," added Shadrack Amonoo.
"At least the Nigerian team can enter Nigeria quietly without any shame or being noticed because there’s no light," Weffrey Wellington wrote.
"Nigeria won all their three group stage matches only to get kicked out by a third placed team Tunisia that lost two games, wow," wrote Malik Ofori.
"The group stage champions Nigeria have been eliminated. What does it profit a nation to get maximum 9 points in the group stages only to be eliminated by a team that qualified with 3 points? This one go bash ankasa!," adds Fentuo Tahiru.

Nigeria knocked out of AFCON by Tunisia

Earlier, SportsBrief.com reported that, Tunisia are through to the quarter-final of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations after seeing off the Super Eagles of Nigeria 1-0 at the Stade Roumdé Adjia in Garoua.

The North African side who reached the Round of 16 as one of the best losers from the group stage put up a scintillating performance to beat the Super Eagles who won all their group games.

Nigeria were reduced to 10-men in the 64th minute after Alex Iwobi was sent off for dangerous tackle. The Everton man was initially shown a yellow, but after VAR review, the centre-referee brandished a red card.
