Stunning video has emerged on Twitter where coach Augustine Eguavoen was spotted being insulted by some Nigerian football fans after the 1-0 AFCON 2021 defeat to Tunisia.
Nigeria's campaign at 2021 African Cup of Nations came to an end on Sunday night, January 23, as Tunisia inflicted a painful defeat on the Super Eagles.
After winning their first three games at the competition, Nigerians were expecting the Super Egles to continue soaring at AFCON, but they have lost out.

Youssef Msakni scored the only goal that sent Tunisia to the quarterfinal of the 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
And after the match, some fans were seen raining insults at Augustine Eguavoen because of the defeat to Tunisia which they described as a painful one.

Meanwhile, in another report on Daily Post, Augustine Eguavoen is reported to have stepped down as the interim coach of the Super Eagles after the defeat to Tunisia.
Augustine Eguavoen's statement
“What happens next is that I’m the interim coach and Technical Director of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
“I will go back to my position and allow the NFF (to) make a decision on the way forward.''
