The Federal Government delegation led CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele have visited the camp of the Super Eagles and charged the team to go all out and make the country proud at the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The Super Eagles have been in imperious form at the AFCON and are now tagged one of the favorites for the competition after a dominant display in the group phase.
The Austine Eguavoen led team emerged top of Group D without dropping any points after three victories against Egypt, Sudan and Guinea-Bissau respectively to book a Round of 16 spot.
Emefiele who paid a courtesy visit to the team alongside NFF President Amaju Pinnick and The Managing Director of the Nigeria Security Printing and Minting Company Abbas Masanawa assured the players of Government’s support in making sure the team achieves its goal of winning a fourth continental trophy.

However, captain of the Super Eagles, Ahmed Musa while thanking the CBN governor for his courtesy visit promised the players will do their utmost best to win the AFCON.
Nigeria is bidding to win her fourth AFCON trophy after victories in 1980, 1994 and 2003.
