In their bid to bolster the squad during the January transfer window, reports have it that English Premier League club Watford have agreed to a deal to sign Nigeria’s Samuel Kalu from Bordeaux.
UK outlet The Athletic are reporting that the fee in the region of £2.5-£3.5 million is expected to be sealed which will see the Nigerian winger at the club until 2026.
Kalu is expected to take his medical on Wednesday ahead of the completion of his deal as it is believed that Watford have been trailing him for some time now.
It is now the player’s time to move as he will become the club’s fourth signing of the January transfer window after Samir, Hassane Kamara and Edo Kayembe.
All three featured in manager Claudio Ranieri's starting line-up for a crucial relegation clash with Newcastle on Saturday. That game ended 1-1.
The Hertfordshire club currently sit 17th in the table, one point clear of the relegation zone.
