Former Manchester United defender Paul Parker has suggested members of the current squad might have a serious problem with how Bruno Fernandes conducts himself on the pitch according to reports via The Metro.

The Portuguese midfielder scored a brace on Saturday, January 15 as Manchester United let a two-goal lead slip as they drew 2-2 against a spirited Aston Villa side.

According to the Sports Bible, Paul Merson who is a former Manchester United player has been particularly frustrated with Fernandes, suggesting there are players in the squad who ‘don’t like the way the Portugal international has carried himself at times.

"Just watching him and the way he betrays himself on the pitch, I’m sure there are players within that squad that don’t like him and what he does on that pitch.

"He brings too much attention to everything. He puts in a bad tackle and he’s telling people to get up. He gets tackled himself and he rolls around, and he wants to show he’s got a nick on his sock or something."

Fernandes and his agent recently turned down a new contract with Manchester United with his current deal not set to expire until 2025.

Earlier Sportsbrief reported Spanish football was thrown in a state of mourning after authorities announced the passing on of Real Madrid legend Paco Gento at the age of 88 years.

Paco Gento, a veteran of two FIFA World Cups and the only man in history to win six UEFA European Cups with Real Madrid.

Gento had been the honorary president of Real Madrid until his death, a position he had inherited from his friend and former teammate Alfredo Di Stefano.

At Real Madrid, Paco Gento played 600 games and scored 182 goals. He was an international with the Spanish national team on 43 occasions.
