The Premier Soccer League (PSL) shared the news on the Twitter account, sharing a video of the goal.

The goal will also be in the running for the goal of the season award and Ngcobo has praised his Kaizer Chiefs teammates for their assistance in him scoring the wonder goal, KickOff reported.

Fans took to social media to comment on the goal and praise Kaizer Chiefs fans for voting for one of their own once again. A joke soon began doing the rounds that Chiefs fans would vote for any of their player's goals, even if it was a simple tap in.

@lotkeka:

"This is a special goal and for special players. It actually reminded me of the likes of Steven Gerrard and Paul Scholes."

@mgcineniernest:

"He deserve it and assistant coach Zwane did great job to give this young man a chance"
Reaction to Chiefs fans voting for the own players:

@Mlandzeni1:

"They will always win a voting contest hands down, even a FIFA Puska nominated goal couldn't compete"

@uVuyisile_:

"Everytime a Chiefs player scores, we win goal of the month, phela it's the only thing we can celebrate"

@Dj_KidCoffee:

"If you play for Chiefs a goal of the month is yours"

@Mthunzi_PL:

"As long as there is a chiefs player competing, we make sure he wins it..."

Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates fans get what they want as clubs dominate DStv Compact Cup team

To no one's surprise, Kaizer Chiefs and Orland Pirates players dominate one of the four teams which will participate in the much-maligned DStv Compact Cup starting on Saturday, 22 January, Sports Brief earlier reported.

The participating teams will be Amabutho (Coastal Group 1), Coastal United (Coastal Group 2), Dinaledi (Inland Group 1) and Warriors (Inland Group 2). The semifinals will take place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, before the 3rd/4th place match and final unfold at Soccer City the week after.

As reported on IOL, Chiefs and Pirates have telegraphed who they'd rather see starting for their clubs judging by the pattern of voting for the Warriors team. It boasts all but one player from either club in the starting side XI.
