- The Belgian has apologised and subsequently returned to the starting line up, but he has been told he needs to get the goals for the Blues
Former Chelsea defender William Gallas has told Romelu Lukaku that the only way he can get the forgiveness of fans at the Stamford Bridge is to start scoring goals, Tribal Football reports.
The Belgian was returned to the Blues’ starting line-up following his recent comments which ripped the club apart.
Gallas says it could take some time before the striker gets back the love from fans, after the former Inter Milan striker claimed he was not happy with the club situation.
Lukaku also ripped apart Thomas Tuchel’s tactics and further expressed desire to return to Italy where he won the Serie A with Inter last season.
The former Everton striker has now issued a public apology to all Chelsea supporters for his comments and promised to once again earn the trust of the Blues fans.
What Gallas said
Gallas blasted the striker and says there is only one way out of his debacle. He told Gentingcasino as per Mirror:
"I don’t think it was very clever for him to speak about Tuchel and his tactics. Players have to be very careful about what they say. There is so much media interest in absolutely everything."
"He has received his punishment and learned from it. The most important thing is how he responds," the Frenchman continued.
"He has to be focused and ready for his team. He needs to start scoring goals for Chelsea."
Lukaku has scored once in three games since returning to Tuchel's side, finding the net in the FA Cup victory over Chesterfield, and Gallas - who won two Premier League titles with Chelsea - suggested he needs to follow it up with more regular goals.

FootballChelsea confident of keeping Antonio Rudiger
Sports Brief earlier reported that Chelsea football club has been given a huge boost in their bid to tie highly-rated defender Antonio Rudiger to a new deal at Stamford Bridge.
The 28-year old contract runs out at the end of the season and talks between the defender and Chelsea seem to have hit a brick wall after reports emerged top clubs including Real Madrid, PSG, and Manchester United were showing interest in the German international.
Real Madrid are no longer interested in signing Chelsea centre-back, who they had previously been targeting on a free transfer as his current contract is set to expire next summer.
