In their bid to keep Frenchman Paul Pogba at the Old Trafford, Manchester United are set to offer the midfielder a staggering £500k-a-week contract, SunSport reports.
Pogba’s contract with the Red Devils will lapse at the end of the season and there are interests from top European giants including Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.
The 28-year-old is free to go into negotiations with with clubs outside England this January as he is wanted by top clubs across the continent.
It was gathered that the former Juventus star has not decided if he would commit his future to Manchester United - and inside sources say there are fears he could leave the club.
United could offer him an additional £100,000 more to make him the highest paid player in Premier League history, on a basic wage of around £400,000 a week before add-ons, Sports Mole reports.
Further reports claim agent Mino Raiola is already in talks with other clubs as the player is in hot demand due to his free transfer status.
United are refusing to sell Pogba this month - their last opportunity to possibly cash in on the Frenchman.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are now eyeing a potential move for Paris Saint-Germain star Mauro Icardi according to several sources in France.
Anthony Martial could be heading out of the Old Trafford club as he is in desperate search of first time football.

FootballIt was gathered that Spanish club Sevilla are closing in on signing the France international, while Edinson Cavani is reported to be among a number of players unhappy with the club.

Phillipe Coutinho joins Aston Villa on loan
Sports Brief earlier reported that Aston Villa have completed a sensational loan signing of Barcelona attacker Phillipe Coutinho from Barcelona.
The Brazil international has agreed to return to the Premier League on loan until the end of the season.
The deal will now see Coutinho reunite with his former teammate Steven Gerrard, currently the manager at Aston Villa.
