Ghana's Yaw Yeboah has finally left Europe for the United States after signing a deal with Major League Soccer side Columbus Crew in the winter transfer window.
The former Manchester City prodigy inked a two year deal with the option of extending for a further year on Thursday, January 6, 2022.
Yeboah's move was announced by Columbus Crew on Thursday, with the 2020 MLS champions thrilled to acquire the August Player of the Month in the Polish league this season.
He joins from Wisla Krakow, where he hogged the headlines in the month of August with a Messi-esque goal in a league game against Gornik Leczna.
“We are thrilled to welcome Yaw to Columbus,” said Columbus Crew President & General Manager Tim Bezbatchenko.
“Yaw is a young winger whose dynamic style of play has made him one of the most exciting up-and-coming players in the Ekstraklasa during his time in Poland. In addition to playing in some of the top leagues in Europe, Yaw also brings valuable international experience with the Ghanaian National Team.
"We believe his addition to our roster will strengthen our attack and help us increase production out wide.”
Yaw Yeboah has spent most of his time in Europe after leaving Ghana in 2014 to sign for English giants Manchester City.
Things did not work out at City, and after several loans spells, he joined CD Numancia in Spain in 2018 before making a move to Celta Vigo. After his time at Celta, he joined Wisla Krakow.

FootballEarlier, SportsBrief.com reported that, former Ghana U-23 captain, Yaw Yeboah, scored an incredible solo goal for Wisła Kraków in the Polish league on Saturday to catch the attention of ESPN.
The nimble footed player took out four defenders after skillfully controlling the ball, before brilliantly gliding his way through a sea of players to fire in his side's second in the 3-1 victory over Gornik Leczna.
In a video posted on Twitter by American Sports channel, ESPN, sighted by YEN.com.gh, the video of Yeboah's goal got them stunned.
