The 28-year-old was left out of Thomas Tuchel's matchday squad for Sunday's 2-2 draw with Liverpool after the interview in which he admitted his frustrations at Stamford Bridge.

His statements also caused a lot of Blues fans to turn against him as they want him offloaded in the January transfer window.

Supporters of his former club Inter Milan also appear to be unwilling to accept him playing for them again.

Faced with this dilemma, Daily Star citing Gazetta dello Sport reports Lukaku could therefore settle for a move to Spurs in the summer to link up with former manager Antonio Conte.

The report also added that Conte would therefore give up the chase for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, 21, who is currently their top attacking target.

Lukaku joined Chelsea for £97.5million and has scored seven goals in 18 appearances this season.

Lukaku changes Facebook bio

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that embattled Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku seems to have changed his Facebook bio, following his controversial interview which did not go down well with his club.

In a recent chat with Sky Italia, the Belgian disclosed that he was not happy with the situation at Stamford Bridge as he admitted his desire to return to Inter Milan.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel was not impressed with the comments as the manager stated that the player has only attracted unwanted noise to the club.

Tuchel consequently dropped the player from the matchday squad that played a 2-2 draw with Liverpool in the Premier League on January 2.

And fans have spotted something weird on the player’s official Facebook profile.

While the Belgian's header and cover photo have him in Chelsea colours, his bio simply reads, "Inter Milan".
