The high-octane excitement of Formula 1 roars into Florida for the eagerly anticipated 2024 Miami Grand Prix.

Against the backdrop of the breathtaking Miami International Autodrome, teams are gearing up to improve on their overall season performances so far.

All signs point to the Miami Grand Prix shaping up to be a highlight of the 2024 racing calendar.

In light of this, and as the Miami race weekend approaches at breakneck speed, Sports Brief shines a spotlight on the key highlights to expect as the excitement unfolds.

Key things to expect at the 2024 Miami Grand Prix

Alpine's improvement

The French team have continued to make a slow but seemingly steady start to the 2024 campaign.

Whilst they remain without a point this season, the French Constructors were on the cusp of claiming point finishes at the Chinese Grand Prix.

Leading up to the Miami race, reports from Formula Uno indicate that the French team has been steadily shedding the excess weight that hampered the performance of the A524 car, contributing to its underwhelming performance.

Additionally, the upgrades introduced at the Chinese Grand Prix are expected to be further refined for the Miami race, raising expectations for a strong performance from the team.

VCARB's resurgence

The Red Bull sister team endured a forgettable race weekend in Shanghai last time out.

The Italian team witnessed their drivers suffer significant tyre degradation before both drivers—Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo- were involved in on-track collisions that capped off a truly horrendous weekend.

However, Visa Cash App RB (VCARB) are confident that the issues faced at the Chinese GP were a one-off occurrence. They are aiming for an impressive outing in Miami.

So far this season, VCARB have been the strongest of the bottom five teams, with Tsunoda consistently challenging for points until the Chinese GP.

Heading into the Florida race with a special chameleon livery and additional upgrades, the Italian team are expected to see both drivers score points this weekend.

Statement win for Red Bull

The Austrian team approaches the Grand Prix weekend with the intention of sealing double podium finishes and race victories, as they have done since the start of the season.

The quest for victory at the Miami race becomes even more significant, especially considering the fact that the buildup to the race has been heralded by conversations surrounding the departure of Chief Technical Officer, Adrian Newey.

Christian Horner and the Red Bull hierarchy could use another dominant race victory to overshadow the buzz Newey's departure continues to generate.

Miami Grand Prix preview

Sports Brief in another report compiled an extensive preview and prediction of the Miami GP.

The Florida race marks the first time Formula 1 visits America in 2024.
