Formula 1 continues its Americas triple-header with the Brazilian Grand Prix, the concluding event in this thrilling series.

The 2023 edition of the Brazilian Grand Prix marks the return of Formula 1 to the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace Circuit.

The circuit - known as Interlagos - made its F1 debut in 1973 and has earned its place as one of the most iconic tracks.

In the 2022 edition of the race, F1 witnessed Mercedes dominance, with George Russell piloting the W13 car to victory in both the Sprint race and the main Grand Prix.

Russell maintained his lead from the first lap to the 71st, securing Mercedes' sole victory of the 2022 season. This triumph was instrumental in securing third place for the Brackley team in the Constructors' title standings, behind Ferrari and Red Bull Racing.

However, the landscape has shifted significantly as the 2023 season unfolds, with Red Bull and Max Verstappen asserting their dominance and wrapping up all titles in emphatic style.

Nevertheless, there is still much at stake for the rest of the field, particularly for Sergio Perez, whose home race at the Mexican Grand Prix ended abruptly after a collision with Charles Leclerc, as reported by PlanetF1.

Sports Brief offers an extensive preview, including race expectations, the schedule, and betting picks:

Brazilian Grand Prix Preview

Being the 20th race in the 2023 calendar, the Interlagos track is renowned for hosting thrilling and unforgettable races, making it one of the most demanding and exhilarating circuits on the Formula 1 calendar.

This weekend's event will also feature the final Sprint race weekend of the 2023 Formula 1 season.

Red Bull has secured victory in four of the five Sprint races held so far, making them a strong contender for another win. The Milton-Keynes team will also hope they can return to winning ways as they remain without a win at the circuit since 2019.

Also, the weekend will provide Lewis Hamilton - who hasn't won a race since Jeddah in 2021, as reported by GPblog - an opportunity to put an end to his winless run as he hopes to ride the wave of Mercedes' recent success at the Brazilian Grand Prix and secure a third consecutive victory for his team at this track.

Max Verstappen sets Formula 1 record

In a previous report, Sports Brief stated that Verstappen set a new Formula 1 record with his victory at the Autodrome Hermanos Rodriguez Circuit.

The Dutch driver, who had already broken the record for the most consecutive victories, added another milestone thanks to a commanding win on the night.
