Max Verstappen claimed victory at the United States Grand Prix after seeing off early challenges from Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton.
The Dutchman, who started the race in sixth place, surged through the grid to clinch his 50th career win after his impressive Sprint race win on Saturday, October 21.
As reported by Reuters, the triumph, which equals his and the sport's record of most victories in a season — 15, also extends Verstappen's lead to 213 points in the drivers' championship from teammate Sergio Perez.
The race was graced by notable personalities, including British heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua, who recently invested in Alpine racing, and the world's richest man, Elon Musk.
Mercedes driver, Lewis Hamilton also had a remarkable performance as the Brackley-based team continued its late-season charge. Verstappen's teammate, Perez, who had strong support from the fans, secured a fifth-place finish, matching his result from the Sprint race.
Charles Leclerc, who started as the pole sitter, struggled to contend for a podium position and settled for sixth place, partly due to his one-stop race strategy. George Russell, after a challenging weekend for the Mercedes driver, finished in seventh position.
Yuki Tsunoda delivered one of the season's best results for AlphaTauri, finishing in tenth place while also securing World Championship points with the fastest lap of the race.
