Part of the caption read,

Thank you to the wonderful people at the Reteti Animal Sanctuary for not only hosting us, but, more importantly, dedicating their time to rescue, research and conservation. They're the first indigenous, community-owned and run sanctuary in Africa and the work for these animals should inspire us all.
We’re not above animals, we’re with them. More often, we’re guests in their homes. Every day in the motherland is more beautiful than the last. Much love, Kenya.

Hamilton, who races for Mercedes, had earlier shared photos of his trip to Namibia, where he visited the expansive Kalahari desert. He had mentioned that he was using the Formula 1 summer break to retrace his African roots.

The 37-year-old is an outside runner for the Formula 1 title this season after a difficult start at Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. But he has since bounced back to record 6 podium finishes. He is currently sixth on the log with 146 points, 112 points off the leader and defending champion Max Verstappen.
