India wrapped up the tail and the game in just 12 balls after lunch to claim a comfortable victory at Supersport Park, Sport24 reported.

Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah took three wickets while KL Rahul picked up the man of the match trophy for his impressive batting performances. Only Dean Elgar, who scored 77, put up some resistance for South Africa but it wasn't enough to stop the Indian charge.

Fans took to Twitter to voice their disgust at the South African performance with one user likening them to Bafana Bafana.

"Bafaproteas always disappoint kante why don't we use the money to build houses for the poor cause we just wasting money here just like the Olympics 4 medal but more than 100 people paid."

"Thank goodness you didn't take spectators' money. This downhill slide has been coming for some time and if CSA isn't lucky, with rain it will be a whitewash."

@shaunsi57094640

"Maharaj going for nearly 4 an over and only bowling in one innings? Everyone is quiet about him, it’s Maharaj and Mulder need to be dropped. Pick Maharaj only on subcontinent."

@mr_tuggz

"We cannot accept a performance like this. We have enough talent so I'm afraid the coach and management have to take some responsibility. We haven't had a coach/management who are able to cultivate a winning culture in many years!"
