Mike Tyson sent a statement for the first time after suffering a health scare during a flight.

The boxing legend, 57, had an episode of nausea and dizziness brought about by an ulcer flare-up as he was travelling from Miami to Los Angeles on Monday, May 27.

According to the Mirror, passengers received messages asking whether anyone was a doctor so they could assist Mike Tyson. The emergency also led to a 25-minute delay in exiting the aircraft.

Initial reports suggested that the boxing legend’s health scare led to a two-hour delay in the flight, but Mike Tyson’s management has refuted this strongly, according to the New York Post.

Roughly 48 hours after the health scare, Iron Mike took to social media to update fans on his health.

“Now feeling 100% even though I don’t need to be to beat Jake Paul,” he wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

His update was met with thousands of messages from fans, who wished him a quick recovery.

With the fight against Youtuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul less than two months away, more questions are being raised about the nature of the exhibition fight.
