The former heavyweight champion is behind only Usyk, who maintains his ranking as the number one boxer on the list.
The Ukrainian fighter has been top of the rankings since defeating Joshua for the second time in a row in 2022.
Another British boxer, Tyson Fury, laughed off the new rankings and vowed to top the list when he defeats Usyk later this year.
"I am the craziest MF out there. I gave up the Ring belt so I could win it three times," he said.
Fury will face the Ukrainian boxer on May 18 and could be the holder of the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO titles if he wins the bout.
Joseph Parker is another boxer who moved up in the rankings due to his deserving victory over Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang in his recent bouts.
