A Nigerian MMA pundit has shared his thoughts on the fight between Francis Ngannou and British boxer Anthony Joshua.

The Cameroonian will have his second bout after facing Tyson Fury in October last year in Saudi Arabia.

Ngannou's performance against Fury surprised many observers and even knocked the Gypsy King down in the third Round.

In an exclusive interview with Sports Brief, combat sports pundit Afolabi Ojabowale aired his views about the fight between Ngannou and Joshua.

"One thing Francis Ngannou's fight against Tyson Fury showed the world is that his technical abilities have caught up with his power," he said.
"While MMA fans have always known about his knockout ability, seeing him hold his own against a top boxer like Fury was surprising.
"So, for him to hold his own against the best boxer on the planet and knock him down in the third Round was beautiful. Something nobody saw coming.
"Anthony Joshua, on the other hand, has become more focused since his losses to Usyk. None of the friendliness of before during fight week; he is much more focused, which is evident in how he beat Otto Wallin like a rookie in his last fight."

Ojabowale further rated the former UFC fighter's chances against the heavyweight boxer.

"So, what are Ngannou's chances against Joshua? I'd say it's about 60/40 in Joshua's favour. Not because Ngannou can't box but because Joshua remains a tough opponent," he added.
"Both parties have tremendous knockout power, so I am sure it will be a chess battle where any mistake can have devastating consequences."

Joshua hails Ngannou ahead of their bout

Sports Brief earlier reported on Joshua hailing Ngannou as a worthy opponent ahead of the forthcoming bout in the Middle East.

The British boxer admitted that he did research about the MMA fighter and referenced his fight against Fury.
