Former England striker, Gary Lineker has reacted to the verdict from the fight between Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury.

Fury, the boxing heavyweight champion, defeated MMA fighter Francis Ngannou by a split decision in Saudi Arabia.

The historic bout travelled the distance as Ngannou surprisingly knocked down the 'Gypsi King', only for the boxer to rise up and finish the fight.

Two judges scored for Fury 96-93, 95-94 while other had it 95-94 for Ngannou.

"We've just seen a robbery," wrote Lineker on social media as he reacted to the result from the fight.

Meanwhile, Fury admitted the fight was his toughest in the last decade.

"That definitely wasn't in the script. He's given me probably one of my toughest fights in the last 10 years," Fury said, as quoted by skysports.com.
"Francis is a hell of a fighter, strong, big puncher, and a lot better boxer than we all thought he would be.
"He's a very awkward man and he's a good puncher and I respect him a lot."

Ngannou has dreams of pursuing his boxing career a bit further after his first bout against Fury.

"We can run it back again and I'm sure I'm going to get better," said Ngannou.
"I know I came up short," he said, but added: "Now I know I can do this.
"Get ready," he declared. "The wolf is in the house. I'm going to bite some sheep."

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Tyson Fury defeated Francis Ngannou by split decision in the "Battle of the Baddest" bout in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The Briton overcame a Round 3 knockdown to defeat the Cameroonian in a controversial manner as one judge had Ngannou winning 95-94, while the other two judges scored the bout 96-93 and 95-94 for Fury.

Fury had to creep over the line to overcome the exciting MMA star Francis Ngannou after being dropped in Round 3.
