  • Francis Ngannou vs Tyson Fury has been billed as the "Battle of the Baddest"
  • The blockbuster bout will feature a former MMA champion and the WBC heavyweight titleholder
  • Cameroon superstar Ngannou has been cautioned that he will need to produce his very best on the night

Nigerian boxing pundit Bamidele Bakare has suggested that the blockbuster fight between Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury would be tough for the Cameroonian to win.

Making his debut in professional boxing, MMA superstar Ngannou will go head-to-head with Fury in a fight slated for Riyadh in Saudi Arabia on October 28.

The British Boxing Board of Control will be the host commission for the "Battle of the Baddest" event.

Ngannou will need to produce his very best on Saturday night, as Fury could be deceiving in his physique, but dangerous when it comes to counter-offensive.

Sharing his thoughts ahead of the fight, Pundit Bakare told Sports Brief:

“Tyson Fury would definitely get most bets because he is a current heavyweight boxing champion, and the fight against Francis Ngannou would be in the boxing ring with boxing rules, which the UFC champion has never experienced.
“Fury is a heavyweight champion who has proven himself over the years by defeating great fighters and has been named the best heavyweight boxer of our time.
“So it might be hard for Ngannou to be victorious, but like I say and would always say, this is heavyweight boxing, anything can happen, and just one punch can change everything.”

MMA Mania reports that Francis Ngannou believes he is capable of causing a historic upset in his boxing debut after teaming up with boxing legend Mike Tyson ahead of his first squared circle bout.

Bakare anticipates the outcome but cautioned that the result should not be added to either fighter’s record.

“We’ve seen this happen once with Floyd Mayweather and Conor Mcgregor. But this seems to be getting more attention as the fighters involved are champions in their respective fields.
“However, since no official title is involved, the fight shouldn’t be added to their professional record.”

Ronaldo gifts Ngannou expensive wristwatch

Sports Brief earlier reported that MMA star Francis Ngannou appreciated Al-Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo for gifting him an expensive wristwatch ahead of his blockbuster showdown against Tyson Fury.

The former Real Madrid star is known for his kindness and has replicated that gesture outside his sport.

Ngannou met Ronaldo earlier this year and has formed a cordial relationship with the former Manchester United forward since then.
