FootballRyan Garcia Blames Defeat on Mole Leaking Information to Gervonta Davis’ Camp
- Ryan Garcia believes that someone in his camp was leaking information to Gervonta Davis
- Davis stopped Garcia in the seventh round of the fight, hitting him with a brutal body shot
- Mongolian boxer Tsendbaatar Erdenebat claims to have injured KingRy during training for the fight
Ryan Garcia is still coming to terms with his first loss in professional boxing but believes he knows why he lost.
KingRy took to social media the day after the fight to allege that Gervonta Davis had someone feeding him information from inside Garcia’s camp.
Tank stopped Garcia in the seventh round of their catchweight bout, with a well-placed shot to the body, CNN reported. He also knocked him down in the second round and controlled large parts of the fight.
Many were surprised that Garcia wasn’t able to answer the referee’s count, but his latest comments suggest that Davis knew exactly where to hit him. Taking to social media, Garcia claimed that there was a mole in his camp that provided Davis with information, Marca reported.

Tank himself hinted before the fight that Garcia was coming into the bout injured. While he didn’t reveal how he knew, he was confident that KingRy wasn’t 100% and exploited it perfectly. He also admitted that he had eyes and ears everywhere and that talk spreads fast.
Ironically, Garcia previously stated that he didn't mind if Davis had an informant in his camp, because there was nothing they would find that would help Tank win.
The plot thickens
Tsendbaatar Erdenebat, a Mongolian boxer, has now claimed to have injured Garcia during training. Erdenebat, who was one of Garcia’s sparring partners, released a video alleging that he injured KingRy during training for the fight.
There’s no evidence to suggest that he told Davis about the injury before the fight, though.
