Now with a fight against the former heavyweight champion next up, Franklin has undergone a major transformation for the bout. As noted by The Mirror, Franklin dropped 23 pounds for the fight and looks absolutely shredded.
Franklin gives up steak
Franklin explained that while he didn’t have a lot of time to train for the fight against Whyte, he was taking it to another level for his fight with Joshua.
“I stopped eating red meat and cut down on sugar. The things I miss most are probably ribs or steak. I used to love steak. I’d feel really bad – if I smell it I instantly get hungry,” he said.
Franklin then added that once he wins, he will have a pile of ribs and steak before touring London a bit.
Joshua predicts a win
Despite Franklin’s impressive transformation, Joshua promised to finish the American. The British fighter has also said he would retire if he failed to win the fight, AS reported.
Franklin, on the other hand, lost his last fight in England and will be looking to make up for that lone defeat on his record.
