  • Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk's megafight was scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia at first
  • Wembley Stadium in London could now play host to the fight between the stars for all the belts
  • Fury versus Usyk may not happen if neither fighter can agree to new terms after a venue change

Tyson Fury could have a huge home ground advantage when he takes on Oleksandr Usyk later this year.

Fury and Usyk will fight to be crowned the Undisputed WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO Heavyweight champion.

TalkSport reported that Wembley Stadium in London is now being considered as a venue, with April 29 earmarked as a possible date for the bout.

Saudi plans for megafight scrapped

The clash between the two champions was originally set to take place in Saudi Arabia, Essentially Sports confirmed.

However, the Middle Eastern country could not confirm whether their new Jeddah stadium would be completed in time to host the big fight, prompting the need to find a new venue.

A megafight, but less money

The downfall to not competing in Saudi Arabia is that both fighters won't earn the same amount. The Middle Eastern country was willing to pay a lot to host the big fight.

A new deal will have to be restructured now, meaning both fighters will receive less if they agree to it.

Other possible opponents for Fury?

If a new deal cannot be reached between the two champions, the British boxer may find a shortage of possible opponents to take on.

Fury recently beat Derek Chisora, the WBC's mandatory challenger for his belt, meaning that he can now pick his next opponent.

The next mandatory challenger will be decided when Deontay Wilder and Andre Ward fight. That match is also yet to be confirmed.

Usyk's next opponent?

If a fight failed to materialise with The Gypsy King, Usyk has three mandatory fights lined up for him.

The WBA wants him to fight Daniel Dubois, the IBF wants him to take on Filip Hrgovic, and the WBO has lined up Joe Joyce as his next opponent.

Usyk and Fury trade taunts

The upcoming fight between Usyk and Fury promises to be a fight for the ages, Sports Brief has reported.

The two boxers will clash in 2023 to unify the heavyweight titles and the trash-talking between the two has since escalated.

After Fury beat Chisora to defend his WBC heavyweight title, The Gypsy King called Usyk out and labelled him 'a little sausage'.
