British-Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua was present at the Best of Africa Awards and was also an award recipient.
This comes less than two months after the two-time former world heavyweight champion lost his rematch with Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Joshua looked dapper in his black suit, a neat white shirt and a black bow tie, also sporting a pair of glasses.
He continues to be proud of his Nigerian roots, as the country is outlined on a tattoo of Africa on his right shoulder.

Joshua identified with his fatherland once again by attending the BOA Awards, that celebrates personalities of African and pan-African heritage. At the event, he scooped an award and was able to meet several big names whose ancestry can be traced to Africa.
He met stars such as Adebayo Akinfenwa and Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira and posted a message along with photos from the event.
The message by Joshua on his official social media platforms said, "Very very grateful to receive a BOA Award."

Meanwhile, following the collapse of the negotiations for the Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury potential fight, the Gypsy King has claimed that his fellow Briton 'lacked balls'.
Fury had called out Joshua, who lost back-to-back to Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk, and negotiations had progressed rapidly as both agreed to a 60/40 split in favour of ‘the Gypsy King’. The bout was slated for December 3.

Sports Brief earlier reported that American boxer Deontay Wilder has suggested that Anthony Joshua and his team did everything possible to avoid a showdown with him.
Wilder also seems upset with boxing promoter Eddie Hearn, saying all was done to prevent a fight between him and Joshua from happening.
