BoxingAfter Accepting to Fight Tyson Fury in December, Boxing Expert Sends Strong Warning to Anthony Joshua
- Anthony Joshua has been warned not to make an attempt to fight WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury this year
- Joshua accepted Fury’s challenge claiming he will be ready to take on his fellow Briton by December
- Gareth Davies has warned that it is not a good idea for AJ to take on the Gypsy King before the year ends
Boxing journalist Gareth Davies has warned Anthony Joshua not to attempt a fight against WBC heavyweight champion of the world Tyson Fury before the end of the year.
Joshua, who lost his rematch to Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk, has accepted Fury’s ‘battle of Britain’ challenge for the WBC title.
Fury shared a clip on social media urging Joshua to consider fighting him in a bid for him to remain in the heavyweight title picture.
However, Gareth Davies of The Telegraph believes Fury is only mocking the two-time former heavyweight champion, saying it is unwise to take up such a challenge.

“It would be unwise now for Anthony Joshua to accept a fight with Tyson Fury. It might look like a chance to get into the title picture again, but in reality, the timing is all wrong for a fighter who is licking his wounds after successive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk.”
“Joshua has questions to answer – about where he goes from here, whether he stays with new trainer Robert Garcia, and how he recovers physically and emotionally from that hugely disappointing experience in the Middle East.
“To go into camp in just a few weeks’ time for a December fight with Fury would be madness.”
Joshua set for December return
Meanwhile, after his back-to-back loss to Oleksandr Usyk, British boxer Anthony Joshua is billed for a return as soon as December, according to boxing promoter Eddie Hearn.

Wilder also seems upset with boxing promoter Eddie Hearn, saying all was done to prevent a fight between him and Joshua from happening.
