The former world's fastest man, Asafa Powell has revealed that he is ready to support his children if they decide to represent Ghana in sports.
The Jamaican sprint legend is married to a Ghanaian wife, and has two children with her, making them eligible to represent the Caribbean country or their African nation.
Despite his achievement with Jamaica's athletics, the former Olympic gold medalist will not interfere with his children's choice.
“I have kids, two of them with my current wife. With her being Ghanaian, there is going to be pressure on which country they compete for but … My kids have shown signs of being athletic,” Powell said, as quoted by Pulse.

“I will support them. I will just be the supporting factor and guide them where sports are concerned. If they want to compete for Ghana, I will support them and if they pick Jamaica, I will support them.”
Powell has been in Ghana for the past week with his wife Alyssia for vacation.
The couple took the opportunity to meet the various stakeholders involved in Ghana's athletics.

The multiple Olympic gold medalist has been in the African country with his wife for a short visit.
During his time in the West African nation, the Jamaican identified the lack of professional sports track as one of the reasons for the country's failure at competitions.

The former world's fastest man, Asafa Powell has arrived in Ghana for a visit of the West African nation.
The sprint legend was given a rapturous welcome at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra as fans waited to meet the Jamaican.
Powell was received by some high-ranking members of the Ghana Athletics Association and will be in the country to share his experience in the sport with the country.
