Known for their financial prowess, some of the highest earners in the Premier Soccer League are Kaizer Chiefs players.

With the imminent departure of Itumeleng Khune from the Naturena, Keagan Dolly is said to be the front-runner to take over the club's captaincy.

Dolly, who earns a staggering R1.45 million, is the highest-paid Amakhosi player, but he had been linked with a possible exit from the club.

Embattled Itumeleng Khune, who faced sanctions in the latter stages of the just concluded season, is also paid heavily.

The goalkeeper earns R480 000, making him one of the highest earners in South African football.

Further reports have it that 31-year-old Dolly would have to accept a heavy pay cut should he decide to stay with the Soweto giants.

Khune, on the other hand, is billed to leave the club even though Chiefs want him to stay, but he must transition to a different role.

Samkelo Zwane anticipates Nabi's arrival

Sports Brief earlier reported that Kaizer Chiefs fans are preparing for the arrival of Nasreddine Nabi, who is expected to become their new coach.

Following a forgettable season, the club is set to make wholesale changes to the squad, with several top-earning players expected to say goodbye.

Despite making his debut last season, 22-year-old midfielder Samkelo Zwane has barely featured at Kaizer Chiefs.
