Former Nigerian international, Victor Ikpeba, has reiterated to Daniel Amokachi that Finidi George is the head coach of the Super Eagles.

Finidi, who was unveiled as the new coach of the national team, named his former national teammate, Amokachi, as one of his assistants.

Olatunji Baruwa, who served as the goalkeepers' trainer under ex-coach, Jose Peseiro, also retained his role with the Finidi-led technical crew.

Citing concerns over the chaos that ripped apart the coaching crew three years ago, Ikpeba cautioned Amokachi, saying harmony must exist.

Speaking on the SuperSport show, Monday Night Football, the 'Prince of Monaco' made it clear that Finidi was now the boss'.

According to the Daily Post, Ikpeba cited 'chaos that happened within the coaching crew three years ago' as something to learn from.

The former Super Eagles attacker further claimed that the working relationship between ex-internationals, Emmanuel Amunike and Augustine Eguavoen, did not work out well.

While Finidi George will be paid N15 million monthly, Amokachi and other assistants will receive wages on a per-game basis.

Amokachi was an assistant to Stephen Keshi and the technical crew guided the Super Eagles to their third AFCON title in 2013.

Finidi's immediate target is to get maximum points for Nigeria in the forthcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and the Benin Republic.
