Looking back, Mokwena says he has no regrets about choosing to remain at Masandawana, where he has since achieved remarkable success.
The 37-year-old's tenure has been nothing short of impressive, with the team winning multiple titles, including the MTN8, DStv Premiership, and Nedbank Cup.
When asked if his accomplishments at Sundowns have vindicated his decision, Mokwena expressed his gratitude for being the head coach and praised the technical team, board, management, and players for their contributions to the club's achievements.

"Honestly, I've not had a chance to think about it... but there is a feeling you are where you are supposed to be, and so everything happens for a reason, so I don't think there's a space in me that has any regrets," he said, as quoted by iDiski Times.
He was recognized as the 2023 Cosafa Men's Coach of the Year and the DStv Premiership Coach of the Month for April, following Sundowns' stellar performances in the league and domestic fixtures. The team's important feats last month include a Nedbank Cup quarter-final win and a CAF Champions League quarter-final triumph.
Sundowns maintained a competitive edge, featuring in nine matches throughout the month, per Times Live.
The Premier Soccer League (PSL) stated that Mokwena clinched the award after securing the most votes among his contenders, which included Orlando Pirates' Jose Rivieiro, Stellenbosch FC's Steve Barker, and Chippa United's co-coaches Kwanele Kopo and Thabo September.
