Africa is only granted two places in Paris 2024's 12-team women's football tournament and Banyana will need to summon more of their signing and dancing spirit to get over the final hurdle.

The star trio of Jermaine Seoposenwe, Thembi Kgatlana and Hilda Magaia bagged the three goals which gave coach Desiree Ellis room to breathe.

The atmosphere prior to the second leg was one without tension, as seen in the dressing room as the ladies chanted before kickoff.

Thembi Kgatlana put the ribbon on the second leg in the 58th minute and will find out in the coming days when they will need to travel to Nigeria for the first leg of the decider.

Desiree Ellis' team are aiming for their third Olympics. Zambia and Morocco are the two teams on the other end of the draw and they will playoff to see who else heads to Paris between July 26 to August 11.

The match was also a special moment for Jermaine Seoposenwe who earned her 100th cap. Speaking via SAFA.net, Ellis said:

“I am really excited for Jermaine, she has been a true servant for South African football. She is the 10th player in Banyana Banyana to get 100 caps and it is well deserved."
