Sundowns still have the African Football League, the Premier Soccer League, the CAF Champions League, and the Nedbank Cup trophies to fight for, GOAL reports.
In his reaction to the incident involving Zungu and Parker, Mokwena defended his player, saying there was no malicious intent.
However, he did send his best wishes to the striker, who is now recuperating in hospital.
"I hope it is not as serious as it looks. Knowing Bongani, it was not malicious and [there] was no malicious intent behind it. The only thing I can say is that I wish Bernard Parker a speedy recovery."
Fans are worried the aftermath of the tackle could mark the end of the 37-year-old’s professional career.
