Arsenal in talks to sign McKennie

Despite Arsenal's commanding lead at the top of the charts, reports suggest Arteta is keen to further reinforce his squad to help him challenge for the title.

According to Metro UK, the Gunners boss is looking to sign a central midfielder before the end of the January transfer window.

Juve's McKennie is believed to be a top target, with Gazzetta dello Sport claiming the north Londoners have made a move for the midfielder.

Reports suggest that Arsenal have approached the 24-year-old’s agent, but no contact has yet been made with Juve over a potential transfer.

Arsenal's move for McKennie comes just days after they signed Leandro Trossard in a £27 million deal from Brighton this month.

Fabregas' stance on Trossard

Earlier, Sports Brief has reported that former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas has praised Trossard and revealed what he will offer to the Gunners and also advised Arteta on moving forward in the transfer market.

Arsenal paid £27m for the 28-year-old Belgian after missing out on £88m Mykhailo Mudryk, and he made his debut off the bench against Manchester United.

Fabregas was full of praise for the former Brighton man in his cameo against Manchester United and said he is better than what people think he is.
