Manchester United have penned an 81-word farewell message to Cristiano Ronaldo days after each went their ways.
The Premier League giants terminated Ronaldo's contract during the World Cup, with the club announcing at the time the decision had been reached after a mutual agreement.
CBS Sports reported that United took the drastic step only days after the veteran striker's explosive interview with British journalist Piers Morgan.
The Portuguese star hit out directly at the club and its leadership during the tell-it-all interview as he took aim at United boss Erik ten Hag.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect," said the club in a statement," the club announced at the time.
Man United's farewell to Ronaldo
Exactly a month after Ronaldo's exit, Man United have sent Ronaldo another farewell message.
Daily Mail reported that United printed out a cold 81-word farewell to the five-time Ballon d'Or winner in the matchday programme for the Burnley clash but there was no mention of the star forward in Ten Hag's notes.
"Cristiano Ronaldo left the club by mutual agreement last month," the message read.
'The Portuguese superstar scored 145 goals across two spells and 436 appearances, and helped us win three Premier League titles, one FA Cup, two League Cups, the Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup. Ronaldo was also crowned Ballon d'Or winner in 2008.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Bayern Munich’s Sporting Director, Hasan Salihamidžić, has explained why the club didn’t try to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese superstar was linked with a move to the Bundesliga champions when he first announced that he wanted to leave Manchester United in the current transfer window.
Salihamidžić explained that signing Ronaldo was discussed but that the club's board voted against the decision.
