Neymar's message to Messi
Neymar congratulated Messi with one short message of 'Congrats Brother.' Fans were quick to note that he did not write a condoling message for Mbappe who despite his heroics was on the losing side on the night.
It should be remembered that Neymar and Mbappe had some alleged ego wars in Paris at the start of the season. The two stars were said not to see eye to eye with Mbappe reportedly advocating for Neymar's sale.
Neymar's Brazil was knocked out of the World Cup in the quarterfinal stage by Croatia despite being one of the frontrunners for the title. Had they beaten Croatia, Neymar could have faced Messi in the semifinals.
The three stars are now expected back in Paris soon as the French giants continue with their pursuit of a first-ever Champions League trophy.
