  • Jurgen Klopp has shared his feelings on Mohamed Salah's Champions League performance against Rangers
  • Salah stole the limelight during the Wednesday night clash thanks to his brilliant hat-trick in the second half
  • The star forward scored his treble within just six minutes and 12 seconds, the fastest in the history of the Champions League

Jurgen Klopp has summed up Mohamed Salah's spectacular performance in the Champions League against Rangers with a simple answer.

Salah, who has endured a difficult start to the new season, put his woes behind him to stage a record-breaking performance at Ibrox Stadium on Wednesday night.

The Egyptian star entered the match from the bench, with Klopp starting Darwin Nunez and Roberto Firmino in the attack.

The former Roma and Chelsea star wasted no time making an impact, as he went on to score a hat-trick to help Liverpool hammer Rangers 7-1.

However, his hat-trick was like no other, as it took him just six minutes and 12 seconds to get the ball into the net three times.

The time taken by Salah to score the hat trick is the fastest by any player, and is thus a new record in the Champions League.

Klopp's reply to Salah's hat-trick

Reacting to the record set by Salah, Klopp did not have much to say, giving a three-word answer about the forward's performance.

"Mo is Mo," Klopp told beIN Sports via The Mirror.

However, the German tactician was quick to pay tribute to his star man, describing the new record as 'special.'

"Quickest hat-trick in Champions League history - that's something special," Klopp added.

Meanwhile, the Liverpool boss will be hoping to see his charges build on the momentum when they play Man City in the Premier League in their next outing.

Klopp’s comments resurface amid injuries

Elsewhere, Sports Brief reported on Jurgen Klopp's comments in the summer when Liverpool had an injury crisis in midfield.

At the start of the season, there were hints the Red would likely struggle in one form or the other this season due to some notable absentees in midfield.

The likes of Thiago Alcantara, Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain, Naby Keita and Fabinho were all in a race against time to recover from different ailments at the time, with Klopp describing the situation as 'crazy'.
